I am Mercy Muthoni Mwigereri from Mukurweini in Nyeri.
I went to Karaba primary school and did my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education in year 2009 and scored 355.
I was admitted to Mutira girls. In form 2 it became hard to raise the fees and Antonius Watoto Foundation came in and started paying my fees until I completed my form 4.
That favorable condition made it possible for me to concentrate in class. This contributed greatly to better performance and I managed to get an A- of 78 points in my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
I was admitted to Jomo Kenyatta University to do development studies which I later changed to bachelor of economics. Antonius Watoto has been paying the fees.
I now believe I can make it through education. Meeting people from all walks of life has raised confidence in me and has made me work more harder to improve my life, my family and other people in need in the society. Through education, it has enabled me to focus on the future, also to develop ideas that I can use to create self-employment and employ other people hence raising the economy of Kenya.
